Rondvaart Europoort offers 90-minute boat tours of the Europoort and the Europa Harbours, one of Rotterdam’s largest harbours. Passengers will see the wide variety of industries here, such as container transport and ore shipping, with many ships larger than an average apartment building.
Rondvaart Europoort also offers two-and-a-half-hour cruises to Maasvlakte 2. This newly constructed offshore area of 2,000 hectares has expanded the port of Rotterdam’s area by 20% and has made the port facilities accessible to the newest and biggest container ships. The ship sails past the very biggest container terminals, like ECT, Maersk, Euromax and Pioneering Spirit.
Snacks and drinks are available on board. Groups of 10 and up can order lunch bags in advance. The tours can be given in Dutch or English and are also available in German by request.
The ship can also be rented for parties or company excursions up to a maximum of 800 people, with catering to suit your group. The ship can moor anywhere in the port area.
Rondvaart Europoort is located close to Hoek van Holland at the Maeslantkering, about 25 minutes’ drive from Rotterdam. Train travellers can take the shuttle bus between the Hoek van Holland metro station and Maeslantkering.
